Book fair SILA
Algiers International Book Fair is an annual cultural event dedicated to literature and writing. Organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, it is annual event at the exhibition center (Safex) in Algiers.
At its 22ème edition, At its 22nd edition, the SILA brought together no less than 1,200,000 visitors with peaks of 200,000 daily.
The books on display are predominately written in French, Tamazight English and Arabic.
The annual event constitutes a significant contribution to the literary season.
Some very prominent personalities in various fields of endeavour are invited by the organizers to take part in this event.
